Morris County, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) conducted a local concept development (LCD) study to determine appropriate improvements to the Columbia Turnpike Bridge. The purpose of this project was to address structural deficiencies and improve travel safety.

Since community input was vital to the LCD study, McCormick & Taylor enlisted Stokes Creative Group, Inc. to help promote public awareness. To assist with the project’s public outreach efforts, Stokes designed and developed a project website to increase visibility and solicit stakeholder and community involvement via online surveys and notification of public meetings. The user-friendly website allows visitors to easily navigate pages and learn about the project and about
the history of the bridge.
In addition, Stokes set up a Twitter account to attract followers and drive traffic to the website. Utilizing both the website
and tweets, the Stokes team built a positive project image and kept stakeholders and the general public informed of
