Stokes Creative Group, Inc. teamed with The RBA Group (now NV5) to develop a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan for the Borough of Metuchen, New Jersey. The purpose of the project was to invite the public to provide ideas, concerns and suggestions to improve the safety and connectivity of the active bike and pedestrian network in Metuchen.

Stokes’ outreach experts worked with RBA to brand the project, develop the content and create a user-friendly, responsive website. Features of the website, designed to educate, involve and engage stakeholders and the general public included an online survey and Wikimap. The website also provided a detailed project overview and specific meeting information. Stokes created and distributed fliers to publicize the two public meetings.
The project Steering Committee members shared the website link through email as well as through social media channels, maximizing the amount of exposure for the public meetings at the Public Information Center and the Visioning Workshop. Stokes was on hand to facilitate the public meetings, making sure presentations ran smoothly and that accurate records were kept.
