What we Did

By enabling the public to provide important feedback, Stokes was able to maximize public involvement efforts with coordinated information-sharing sessions among stakeholders. These sessions prioritized he EIS scoping process, which evaluated and analyzed all potential environmental impact caused by a project. More than 1,000 individuals attended the six DEIS public hearings in Westbury, Hempstead and New Hyde Park. At each hearing, Stokes team members facilitated the registration and public comment process for the DEIS. Participants had their concerns heard, both in public and private forums, and submitted written comments via an online database or in comment cards.

Stokes took an all-hands approach, creating the project’s digital web-identity. From graphic elements to full-stack development, Stokes Creative Group grounded the project in the public eye with a quality-centric package of print and web-based materials. The project website also served as a launching point for the project’s public outreach initiatives, as it served to connect stakeholders and the public alike.
