Local Concept Development Study For County Routes 670 (Burnt Mill Road) & 673 (White Horse Pike)

Camden County, in conjunction with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), began this local concept development (LCD) study to provide alternatives that redesign an intersection of County Road 670 (Burnt Mill Road) and Road 673 (White Horse Road) to operate in a safe, useable manner for all modes of transportation, including pedestrians.

What we Did

For this project, Stokes Creative Group, Inc. (Stokes) executed a well-rounded public involvement action plan (PIAP) to identify stakeholders and strategies to engage the public early in the process. The team also organized and led local officials briefings (LOBs), stakeholder meetings, and public information centers (PICs). Stokes also assists the team with obtaining resolutions of support and will create a public involvement summary report upon completion of the study.

Key Features And Notable outcomes

This project focuses on an intersection in Voorhees Township, Camden County, directly north of the Lindenwold High Speedline PATCO Station. The two county roads cross at a 90-degree perpendicular angle. This is a high-crash area, ranking second in Camden County on the New Jersey Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) eligibility list and fifth in the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) region.
