STV was awarded a project by Cooper’s Ferry Partnership to study the waterfront neighborhoods of Camden in both the North Camden and Cramer Hill sections. The team was to study the areas’ current transportation systems and gain feedback from the respective local communities.

Stokes was responsible for the public outreach on the project. We attended a project site tour where we took photographs of the various projects under review in both neighborhoods. We then worked with the team to facilitate two public meetings in each neighborhood. Working with the team, we developed a survey which listed all the projects in the respective communities. A rating system was then developed to rank the importance residents felt the project was to their communities. The surveys were then distributed at the first public meeting and collected to analyze the communities’ feedback. Flyers advertising the public meetings were developed in both English and Spanish, and Stokes supplied a translation specialist to serve the densely populated Spanish-speaking
community.
A second set of meetings was held to inform the public of the results of the survey and analysis of the transportation plan. Residents were able to ask questions and inquire about when to expect further development on the projects. Stokes again supplied a translation specialist and took photographs as well as delivered a summary report of the meetings. Stokes worked with STV on the final report that was remitted to Cooper’s Ferry Partnership, adding additional comments regarding the outreach efforts, assisting with conversion of KMZ files for use with Google Earth, and the final printing and delivery of the report.
