Stokes is leading the public outreach for the proposed reconstruction and widening of the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension (NB-HCE) from New Jersey Turnpike Interchange 14 in Newark to Jersey Avenue in Jersey City. The corridor serves the Newark Liberty International Airport, New York City via the Holland Tunnel, and access to Jersey City, Hoboken, and Bayonne, as well as Liberty State Park and Liberty Science Center. Historically, significant congestion and delays have been a daily occurrence along the NB-HCE.

The project team conducted the environmental analysis and collecting engineering data. Stokes developed and implemented a public outreach plan to ensure communities and businesses along the eight-mile corridor can learn about and comment on issues and proposed solutions. Stokes’ graphic designer produced materials to support public hearings.
Stokes worked with the team to convey the technical information into accessible language and visual displays to provide useful information to the public.
