To maximize awareness and participation, Stokes coordinated an inclusive outreach strategy that blended traditional and digital methods. They developed and distributed engaging communication materials—including email invitations, website updates, and an engaging video—that clearly outlined the project’s purpose, timeline, and expected benefits. Stokes worked closely with local organizations and community leaders to ensure information reached residents, business owners, and commuters most impacted by the proposed improvements.
Stokes was responsible for designing both the in-person and virtual open house experiences to be user-friendly and accessible. For the in-person event, Stokes ensured clear signage, informative displays, and staff availability for direct engagement. For the virtual component, Stokes collaborated with technical teams to provide interactive project presentations, construction plans, and maps online, along with real-time opportunities for questions and feedback via chat and live Q&A sessions.
Throughout the event, Stokes gathered and documented public input, ensuring community voices were heard and considered during the planning process. Stokes proactive and transparent approach fostered trust between FDOT and the public, resulting in a well-informed community and broad support for a project that prioritizes both safety and mobility.
